Release Party Recap
If you missed the Dying 2 Live CD release party you missed a great night of music and ministry.DJ Nonchalant was all over the mix as G-Code listeners filled the house to standing room only.It was quite the unsual CD release party: complete with praise and worship by CPAW and a short word by Dr Charles Williams of Cornerstone Victory.K-Mor started the night off right with an annointed rendition of Jesus, My Everything featuring Beverly. Newcomer Chug-T did an excellent job and after that Expressive stunned the crowd with a poem before the premier of the It Hurts Me video. Shortly after that The Jesus Freeks reminded us the crowed of how important the Word of God is when ministering in song before G-Code and Bro Blessed finished it off.G-Code called the set "The Kingdom Set" and started off with a marathon verse from Joshua that was a filled with punchllines and biblical refrences. They followed with the crowd pleasing "King David On Em" and had everyone in the building chanting to Cordero's "Kingdom Music."Bro Blessed was filled with fire as he ripped through his "Dying 2 Live" set. The introspective Ready 2 Die caused everyone in the building to do a self-examination as he ripped the track with a stacatto flow. He quickly amped up the crowed and got everyone ready to move with the dance song :Order My Steps... One of the funniest moments of the night occured with the performance of "Watch you Die." Blessed traded his rapping mic for a singing one and the rest of G-Code stood in as his background singers. They had everyone splitting there sides with laughter as G-Code moved 5 heartbeats style. Holy Rock was performed and Bro Blessed ended the night with a live version of "You Don't Know", featuring Tenille Norris, Brandy Spears, and Robert Williams on keys.In true G-Code fashion the night ended with an alter-call, in which several people gave there life to God and decided to get baptized. Glory 2 God.God's Son, F,O,E, and Gifted the FlameThrowa and Conscience were in attendance.
